Gulfstream Park's Championship Meet opens on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, and runs to Sunday, March 28, 2027, according to the track's website. The stakes schedule Gulfstream published in October marks 70 live race days, Thursdays through Sundays, with the track closed on Christmas Day and racing on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Its 64 stakes include 27 graded races, three of them Grade 1s, and 38 are on turf. The schedule gives no purse for the three Pegasus World Cup races; the other 61 are worth $10.1 million.
The Holy Bull, a $250,000 Grade 3 for 3-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles, is the richest of five stakes on Saturday, January 23, 2027. A week later the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational on dirt and the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational, both at 1 1/8 miles, top a card that also holds the Grade 2 Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Invitational, five other stakes and two $100,000 overnight handicaps on the Tapeta course. February 27, 2027, has nine stakes, with the $400,000 Coolmore Fountain of Youth the richest, and the $1 million EquiTrack Florida Derby is one of 10 on March 27.

Thoroughbred Daily News (TDN) reported on October 21 that the New York Racing Association (NYRA) and 1/ST have a multi-year agreement under which NYRA's America's Day at the Races shows the meet on the FOX Sports networks from 2027. The Florida Derby will be live on the main FOX channel, TDN said.
The previous Championship Meet, 2025-26, closed on March 29, 2026, and Turf Archive's results database holds its final 21 cards, from February 22. Those cards held 226 races and 1,732 starters, or 7.66 starters a race. Their turf races averaged 8.65, the Tapeta 7.58 and dirt 6.85, and 41 of the 226 races had 10 or more starters against 21 with five or fewer. On the same cards the median $2 win payoff was $8.20 and the median $2 exacta $43.20. Gulfstream's 102 cards from April 2 to November 1 averaged 6.90 starters a race, a median $2 win payoff of $7.20 and a median $2 exacta of $33.00.
The largest payoff in Gulfstream's results since February 22 came on March 1, 2026, when a 20-cent Pick 6 Jackpot ticket on races 6 through 11 returned $462,562.64, against a pool that day of $260,557. None of the six races in the sequence produced a winner paying more than $45.20, Kravitz's price in race 8.
Tyler Gaffalione rode 21 winners between February 22 and March 29; Javier Castellano and Edwin Gonzalez had 18 each. Saffie Joseph Jr. led trainers with 12 wins, a position Joseph also held from April to November 1 with 71. Brendan Walsh won eight races, five of them stakes, including the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride and Honey Fox on February 28.
The 2026 Fountain of Youth on February 28 and Florida Derby on March 28 both went to Commandment, a son of Into Mischief trained by Brad Cox. Irad Ortiz Jr. rode Commandment at $6.80 against eight rivals in the first, and Flavien Prat at $5.80 in the second, where three scratches left a field of six. Commandment then ran seventh in the Kentucky Derby and second in the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga.
